Biographies



 Nicole Rourke 

Nicole graduated in physical theatre with Tmu-Na Theatre Company, Tel-Aviv, Israel. She co-wrote and acted in Dead Hours receiving critical acclaim at festivals in Ireland, the UK, Poland, Singapore and the Middle East.  
Productions include: 
Eclipsed (winner of Edinburgh fringe first 1992), Fine day for a hunt, Life of stuff, Anna Karenina, The fire raisers, Playboy of the western world, Europe, Bleeding the system, Life of Bran, Twelve treaties on memory to name a few! 
TV work includes: 
Come on down and out for Channel 4 
Akko for Channel 2 Israel 
Two shorts for the Jerusalem film festival 
War and Peace - The Musical with The Performance Corporation. 
Directing credits include: 
Life of Bran by Andy Maranzi 
The friends of Jack Kairo by Simon Toal. 
Nicole received an award from the Arts Council to travel to Argentina to research and write. This resulted in several short tango monologues which were performed at various festivals.    
Nicole also works as a creative workshop facilitator. She is co-director of Big Smoke Writing Factory and The Myth Machine.





Hernán Catvin 

Hernán graduated in Dramatic Arts at The National Drama School, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000, having studied theatre and dance since 1989. He has worked as an actor, dancer and theatre director on independent and commercial productions. 
Hernán's acting credits include:

The Evolution of Tango by Hernán Catvin and Andy Maranzi (2004-2006), The Last Waltz We Danced In Troy by J.P.Sartre (2000), The Tango Conference by Sandro Nunziata and Tina Erenhaus (1998), The Night of the Iguana by Tennessee Williams (1996)
Hernán came to Dublin in 2002 and has since had a pivotal role in the city's tango scene both in teaching tango, events organisation and performing.
He currently co-directs Compadrito Tango, among the most prestigious Tango organizations in Ireland, and Dublin's Argentinian Tango Festival. Today he is active in the promotion of tango dance and music through classes, workshops, social dance events and, to date, eight International Tango festivals. 
Hernán  has also featured in many dance and music events around the country collaborating with local and international artists and groups including: Camille O’Sullivan, Fionnuala Hunt, The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, Dublin Fringe Festival and Oxegen.
